This set is so cheaply constructed that I had to use some of the hardware and all of the screws from my old lock so I ended up with Frankenlock. ![]() My garage door lock started sticking so I picked this up since it looked to be identical to the existing lock. I'm debating if this is good or not, as you can only make the door stay unlocked from the inside. ![]() Perhaps it may be me but I cannot seem to use the key to unlock the lock permanently I have to do that from the inside. I cut the 3rd section of the included screws off and two of the square sections of the internal lock bar off. I installed it so the bolt when active blocks the sliding bolt of the doors latch. I bought this to make it so I can lock the back door of my Skoolie (School bus RV). ![]() NOTE: if you do not cut the screws to fit they will CUT THROUGH THE FRONT FACE above the key.īE CAREFUL WITH THE LOCK CHAMBER: the lock chamber is held in place with a C-Clip and if this comes out the chamber can fall out and lose the lock pins. You will need to cut these to length to get them to fit. ![]() The bar attached to the key chamber that turns the lock IS TOO LONG. The screws that hold the key chamber on the door ARE TOO LONG. INSTRUCTION NOTE: This lock does not include instructions, so here are a couple things to note.
